Saturday night

Saturday night was a bundle of laughs... We survived the storm beautifully but on a sunny saturday morning we suddenly lost power.  After twenty minutes of lights coming on and going off again we finally lost electric supply.  I rang our supplier and heard a recorded message saying it would be  9 hours as an estimated time for return of service. Very dull.. we had a nice walk, came home and prepared for a couple of hours of darkness before hopefully getting our lights back.  The whole village was out but not for houses who are a couple of hundred yards either side of the village... they still  had power. Very odd indeed.  After a take away from a local pub we played scrabble by candlelight and stared at the candles with the tv dark behind.  An early night was on the cards.  I woke at 4 and found we still had no power.. 5am.. the same... finally slept again but no power at 8 either... ugh!
We managed to rustle together a bit of breakfast and had decided we would head out in the car to get phone signal and try to find out what was happening with the supply.... and almost 24 hours after the loss.. the lights came on.. phew!!!  

As you can tell this is a back blip as without power you cant post online as the mast went down ((and hasn't recovered yet))  so we had no mobile signal either.  The energy supplier recorded message had suggested the best way to report a power out was online.. yeah.. right!
Anyway... I am back!!  Taadaa!
