Parlour Palm

Bit of an emergency blip tonight. I’d planned to photograph the white tulip from last week but it wasn’t to be. I carried it into the kitchen to put in a glass but the petals fell off on the way there. This is a Parlour Palm that Norm insisted would be ok outside near the sprinkler while we were on holiday. When we came back the leaves were all scorched. I cut most of them off and it’s more or less recovered 9 months later. I do like bringing plants to life again.
The rain has been non stop all day and Poynton Brook is dangerously high. People near the River Mersey have been evacuated from some of the houses.
