David Octavius Hill
Took a stroll around Dean Cemetery this morning. It’s a fascinating place, providing an insight into the upper echelons of Scottish society in the c19th. The memorial stone of David Octavius Hill, the pioneer of photography is one particularly grand example. The bust is by his wife the sculptor Amelia Robertson Hill.
Witnessed a golden retriever being pulled from a swollen weather of leith.
Early tea at Thai restaurant, the first time A and I had eaten out in the evening in two years. Lovely
