Felled

The resilience of nature is astounding, how do the daffodils and pampas grass survive being flattened by 70mph wind. This one poor tree didn’t make it though. So sad, it’s covered in buds ready to spring back into life.

I feel a bit felled today too, maybe from school night cocktails but also from the tail end of a virus-not-Covid that I picked up at last weeks’ breakfast buffet (or so I imagine).
