Golden

Not daffodils but marigolds making a stunning splash of colour on the pavement.

Spotted as I pulled over in the suburb below ours to let the truck cool down after it suddenly started to overheat. Strange as if I went downhill, the temperature reduced, but rose again even at a gentle pace.

She certainly doesn’t owe us anything after years of driving fun, but I really hope it’s something simple as we are not ready yet to part ways.

Back home to finish off a Kleftiko lamb for lunch with Sue and Prue. Our first catch up with Prue since her accident in December, just before her 93rd birthday. She is doing amazingly well given the number of broken bones she had. They certainly made her generation out of strong stuff.
