330 grams

I've left this tomato as long as I can. With rain forecast tonight it will quickly split further and deteriorate. During my lunch break I wandered out and inspected them. I marveled at how warm they were in the sun and how that intensified their tomatoe smell.

At 330 grams it's the largest of my crop so far. I haven't sliced it yet. Other ones I've eaten taste every bit as good as you'd expect homegrown to be.

These are 'Best Boy' and I'd grow them again. These have better and more consistent flavour than the small variety I also grew.

It's hard to go past sliced tomato and avocado on sour dough toast. Add a poached egg - yeah!

Dad would be pleased and proud.

I'm feeling unusually tired. Hopefully that isn't a portent of lurking bugs. Otherwise I feel fine.

Today's gratitude: For seeing a single patch of mist disappear at the park this morning. A reminder that autumn is coming bit summer is still with us.
