Room with a view

Here is the landscape from our kitchen window in Chikushino, a view which I love. The fields like patchwork, and the trains marking out time. I like the curves of the roads against the straight lines of the rice, tracks, and wires.

First day back at the primary school where we help out today, I'd missed the kids. Now to try to sleep, so that I can cram for the Japanese end of unit test early tomorrow morning!
