Bestie's Big Day

Back blipped -

Cannot believe that today is the day that H gets married. It is all so surreal!

An early start for hair and makeup, busy house bustling with bridesmaids and family. H getting ready with flurries of excitement and nervousness. Brought back memories from our big day!

She was lucky with the weather as the sun was shining all day, although for the small group photos it felt like ice shards in our skin! Deceiving weather!

The bridesmaids were picked up and taken to Solsgirth House - our venue for the whole day. It was my first time of seeing it - incredible place.

As we waited for H to arrive, that is when we all started getting nervous! Funny how the nerves all bubble up when you least expect it. H looked just incredible when she arrived, glowing! We went in and walked down the isle. They had a humanist ceremony which was so personalised that you thought he was part of the family, great speaker. Then that was it - they were announced as Mr and Mrs! Beautiful service.

Drinks reception and chatting with guests; VIP photos outside and everyone was so happy. I love the atmosphere at weddings - everyone is so happy and smiley!

A scrummy dinner, funny heartwarming speeches, vibrant reception with surprises for H including a slush puppy machine and pick and mix stand - typical H wedding lol!

Brilliant way to finish the night with Runrig Loch Lomond - it wouldn't be a Scottish wedding without!

Back to the room and into comfy clothes for a last drink with my best girlies - the 3 of us with our 3 boys - perfect day!
