Willow Bridge standing strong

I have posted images of this old packhorse bridge before but we went for a walk today to see how high the river is and the effect on the bridge. The river is still full and flowing very fast but has dropped several more feet since yesterday. The packhorse bridge stands strong and proud. It has probably seen all many times before and is not bothered by the trees and other debris being washed underneath.
The wind remains very strong and after another wet morning it has brightened with some sunshine this afternoon. It is too wet to do much in the garden but I did start with seed planting some broad beans and peas. I have to curb my enthusiasm for beginning the new gardening year and remember it is still February and it will be a few weeks before spring really begins.
