Ella and Marvel

When I was tucking the boys up last night James said “when I’m old I want to come here and live with you”.
Me “when you are old I’ll be dead”.
James “Oh. Can I have your house?”

The boys have been really good though things got fraught when James decided to join Thomas and me for Monoply. Thomas had bought 3 stations and when James landed on the fourth one he said he’d buy it. Good tactics James but Thomas was furious. In the end I called a halt and took them down to the village where they played by the river and spent their £1 in the sweetie shop.

We all went to town, me to get my hair cut, while Mr C and the boys called on #3 daughter, Ella and Nathaniel. Mr C took the boys home and daughter and I took Ella to her riding lesson - I gave her a little birthday gift to open on the day and bought her a couple of riding lessons as well, preferring to buy experiences rather than stuff. She did well and got the chance to trot on her own. It was really windy as you can see from Marvel’s mane.

Now Mr C and I are on the way home to enjoy a large gin, despite it being mid-week.
