Hope it’s not just me who remembers the classic 70s song by Meri Wilson.

Looking out of the kitchen window this morning I noticed this gentleman had climbed up the telegraph pole opposite.
Our phone was fine. No problems there.
However when I looked out a bit later I realised he was actually fitting a new line, probably for a house that has recently been built at the end of the lane.

Sunshine and showers this morning so decided to get on with some painting that needed doing in the bathroom.
After lunch it cleared up and so I started some gardening. However it was so windy that I gave up after 15 mins. Did manage however to nearly fill the brown bin which will be emptied tomorrow.
Looks like we have strong winds on and off for the rest of the week until Friday.

So sorry for the people of Tadcaster who have been flooded yet again.
A lovely little town which has just been forgotten about.
I hope this time their flood defences will be improved.
