150 Of 365: Queen's View -Well Part Of It Anyway

Queen's View lies at the heart of Highland Perthshire and is the area's most popular attraction

When Queen Victoria visited in 1866, she assumed that the sweeping view west along Loch Tummel was named for her - but she was wrong. It is understood that the view was really named for Queen Isabella, the first wife of Robert the Bruce, who lived more than 500 years earlier.

Far too windy up there today to set up a tripod to photograph the whole scene - maybe during the summer. It was a shoot and scoot job today.
