Anyway, when we left the car, the rain came on. And we got soaked. We watched a deer shelter in the trees after I took this photo. Few folks about.

I watched the “COVID-19 Scotland’s Strategic Framework Update” session from Parliament this early afternoon. The updated Scottish Government strategy is based on three levels of threat from COVID-19; low, medium and high, and it sets out potential responses to the assessed threats. The First Minister said the current threat level was medium, but she expected it to be reduced to low category in the period ahead. She stated Scotland is now moving into a transition period; the view is it’s vital that change is phased and in careful manner, over time. Headlines included the vaccine passport scheme will end on 28 February, face coverings etc legal obligations revert to guidance status on 22 March. Isolation arrangements, and testing, are to continue; aim is to protect as many in society as possible. Funding for testing is a point of debate with Westminster. In summary COVID-19 has not gone away - but there was positive news today!
