Day 8 of the A - Z challenge - I

The letter I has been the hardest letter of our A - Z tour of Cornwall so far. There aren't that many places beginning with the letter I that actually have something or somewhere to go to when you are there.

We firstly went to Illogan Highway and to The Railway Inn. When we got there it turns out that their kitchen is closed on wednesdays and being starving as we were, we decided not to stay.

We then drove to the tiny village of Illogan and when we got to the pub there 'Robarts' it was closed down for refurbishment. Not having a lot of luck here are we!

Still in need of some sustenance we gave up and headed down to Porthtowan for a bite to eat there and a wander across the beach.

I definitely think we can cross I off our list as we did go to both places, but just in case you are not sure i'm going to throw Ives (St ) into the ring aswell. We had a lovely walk across Porthmeor Beach with a coffee on sunday and although I wasn't going to count my home town, we actually did something here that I wouldn't normally get to do.
