'Life is slow dying'. - Philip Larkin

Statue of Larkin in Hull Paragon station. I'd booked tickets to Newcastle (to see Prodijig) and Brighton ( for a wedding) and so went to collect them from the machine.

Before the stroke I travelled by train every week to Cumbria, Newcastle and others for work. Larkin would be stood there being photographed by visitors. Today it was my turn- trying to get a shot without people was harder than I thought..

In other news, had a meeting as part of my school governor role - lead for attendance and punctuality. Figures are good, but hearing about the problems they deal with and the parent sanctioned absence can be dispiriting. Children need to be in school to learn!
