77 years ago

There is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission burial site in a graveyard in Nuneaton. Today I noticed that 77 years ago today a German sailor died and is buried. Heinz Unnerstall died on this day in 1945. I haven’t been able to find anything about him or why he is here buried about as far from the sea as you can get in this country.
A sad reminder of what happens when young men are sent to war by a megalomaniac that seeks nothing but power itself. Even sadder that we may be seeing the same mistakes happening again.
