No Way Through !!

Well not without some decent wellies......  

Tuesday - This seems to be a regular occurrence with the Wye...well certainy every year in the last few years around this time of year. 

As it was a brightish afernoon, we drove out early and whilst Mrs IU went to buy a lottery ticket and get something for a next door neighbour, I quickly walked down to the riverside area to see what was happening.  This small road runs parallel with the river here and back into town going by a bandstand which is viewable in the distance. 

Behind me was a car in which the driver was debating on whether to continue, but eventually decided to abandon the idea - actually a good decision, as last year, someone got stranded when they thought their car was a boat.   So much easier to use the main road into town which is over to the right of where I was standing.

Having got today's photo, it was a quick walk back for the meetup before driving home.  I can imagine this water wil be around for a few more days yet so hopefully, I will be able to get something for tomorrow's photo and perhaps the day after too..
