Lauri had a prolonged leave because of suspected Covid. The test was negative, so today he could return to the garrison. As there was no transport, I took him there and took a few shots outside the gates. I suppose publishing this won't compromise national security even though it was taken near the military area.

It was a nice winter weather and the roads had been ploughed well after the previous blizzard, so driving on country roads was quite enjoyable. I had not driven in that region since early 90's and the road was better than I expected.

The temperature today morning was a bit of a surprise. The forecast last night had -15°C for the morning, which would have been colder than it has been in a while, but the reality was even colder than that, -21°C. No problems though, but I had to put the heating mat on the silage to be used today for a few hours, as we had not covered it. Actually we should have with the forecast temperature, but I had not noticed it before evening feeding. Luckily I didn't shovel away the snow from the milk tank door (yesterday's blip), as it kept the inside warmer.
