Unfurling cornus
When I went out into the garden yesterday afternoon for a quiet few minutes with my camera, I took quite a few photos of our cornus shrub. The beautiful bare red branches which have brightened the garden all winter are now covered with bright green shoots which look so fresh and spring-like. I took a better photo yesterday, but chose to use the shot of the viola, so today I tried again. The colour of the stems reminds me of rhubarb!
