Celebration of life of Christine
Andrew and Katie had been to a wedding in Belfast at the weekend, and came home on Monday evening. Tuesday morning they tested positive for Covid as did most of the people they had been with. So this morning we delivered some home made soup and croutons, and they were well pleased as they are not feeling great and they said that was just what they needed.
This afternoon Bob, his sister and I attended the funeral of their cousin Christine. Christine had been in a home for a number of years as she had Alzheimers, and her husband and family were very faithful in their care for her, as was the home.
It was a religious service, and very thoughtful with tributes from one of her daughters and also her brother, and words of Iain which were read out by the minister.
It was good to be able to be there, and support the family.
The weather was bad, with strong winds, and we had to cross the River Clyde to attend the funeral. We should have gone via the Erskine Bridge but they closed it for a while due to the high winds, so we had to go through the Clyde Tunnel, and a slower road there. Coming home was a bigger hassle as the roads were very busy indeed.
