PROGRESS IS DECEIVING
It’s hard to really tell, but there is progress
on my front yard renovation.
Today the landscapers delivered the boulders, installed a new irrigation control center in the garage, & dug holes for plants.
More smaller decorative rocks will come later. We are going to place the boulders
tomorrow.
The plants go in next week. I am on
a frantic search for LUPINUS albifrons (Silver Lupine), a gorgeous native shrub that produces lavender Lupine type flowers.
And has lovely silvery leaves. I’ve seen it in the neighborhood, but it is no where to be found in the plant nurseries. I found
SALVIA clevelendii, another native shrub with
blue flowers. I have a lead on
CALLIANDRA californica, the Red Fairy Duster or its cousin, the Pink Fairy Duster.
I would love to have these beauties
among the plants. I am hoping…
It is much colder today than it looks. We have a FROST ADVISORY tonight, but not as windy as it has been.
