Please sir, could I have some more?
If I get up at the right time of morning, there is a rabbit (or perhaps a hare) waiting for me by the Japanese maple. It waits until I come to the door, open it, and then scatter the seeds at the bottom of the steps.
Then it retreats. Hides behind the tree, and comes out, advancing slowly. Stops. Looks up. Hind legs, sniffing the air. Then it comes to eat.
It drives Tui wild.
