So many snowdrops
Snowdrops are all around us at this time of the year - in our gardens and woods but nowhere have I seen such a spectacle as this.
L and I drove out to the tiny village of Achurch as we had heard that the snowdrops there were incredible and we weren't disappointed.
In the wood by the church there were carpets of them as far as the eye could see. And in just a few short weeks they will disappear as the canopy of leaves grows into spring.
Achurch is an interesting village with close ties to Lilford Hall, a once fine country house but now sadly in slow decay. Last year it was said to be for sale for £7.5m.
