More chaos

The day started well as I met a former work colleague and friend in Exeter for a catch up over breakfast.

I then headed home for a marathon binge of Death in Paradise with Leo as we haven’t watched any of the latest series yet and then we planned to pop out for a cuppa and cake.  We managed one episode but then Ian messaged from London to say the plasterer was coming on Thursday instead of Friday so could I clear the kitchen!  So now we have one very empty kitchen but one messy living room, dining room and study as I have just plopped stuff wherever I could find a space. Hopefully this is the last of the really messy work for a while before they actually start ripping the kitchen and flooring out.

So Wednesday and Thursday’s plans flew out the window but hopefully that will mean we get Friday free to do something relaxing. 

After this, there will be decorating to do and then finally the kitchen people will rip up the existing kitchen and flooring and get things all tidy again.  We  get a few weeks of peace before all that starts.  It feels like the place will never be clean again!
