Ambleside to Grassmere

Rivers are full and bursting and there are trees down all over the place but today was beautiful and felt sooooo good being out.
We walked along the top path past the caves to Grassmere where we found a lovely wee cafe with outdoor seating in the sun for lunch. We had a wee wander round then Cathie decided to get the bus back. I was enjoying being out too much so Scout and I walked back by the waters edge. It was much quieter on the way back so Scout got to run off the lead most of the way.
Once we got back to our room, Scout just curled up on the door mat and didn’t move!!
I fancied going out for dinner but everywhere was booked (I still don’t think of booking in advance). We did eventually find a nice pub with great food and a really friendly couple who sat and chatted the whole time and fussed over Scout continually. :)
