Unbelievable!!

It’s over 2 years since we have travelled anywhere until yesterday when we came from Guernsey to Bournemouth to see our family. All negative LFTs yesterday then this morning boom….positive. I thought last night I was getting laryngitis again but no!!! I thankfully only have sore throat and cough but can’t really see the family. They did pop by to see us as we are in an Airbnb a few mins from them. We stayed outside and no hugs!! Our grandchildren (twins aged 9) were so sad not to see us so at least we met at a distance! Our son bought round a cooked dinner for us and more supplies, including this heart biscuit which appropriately was broken. The Airbnb we are staying in is lovely and bright so that helps!! What a way to spend a holiday we’ve waited so long for. At least we aren’t suffering like the poor folk in Ukraine! How sad! All for power!!
