Farfield Mill again!
I took two friends from Holme Park to Farfield Mill for a morning out and lunch, how ambitious! It actually snowed before we set off but fortunately melted in time.
We really enjoyed the exhibitions and tried to choose which of the textile art pieces we would take home! I think this fire at Notre Dame is my favourite although it’s very hard to choose.
The cafe made us laugh/cross as it took them 11/2 hours to bring us three bowls of soup!! Fortunately, we were happy chatting and just being out and about, but really! It was good soup in the end and nice fresh cheese scones so we sort of forgave them.
Faye insisted on buying something to support the local artists and took quite a while to choose, but eventually found some little earrings enamelled onto sixpence pieces. Gill and I didn’t buy but there were some lovely items.
Then home to finish baking for market. Busy day!
