Evening primrose

These delicate flowers were being trashed by the rain so I picked a few and put them in a glass of water and left them on the verandah under cover. To my surprise they recovered. I love their innards - that amazing cross-shaped stigma and those dusty yellow anthers.

Thank you for all those great responses to my sunflower bud yesterday. They were lovely to receive.
