Amandine's Plot Treize

By AmandineJardine

Wet cardboard and long earthworm

Today was a wet cold day and I took a load of cardboard down to the plot before work.

I've used the barrow so much in recent weeks that I've started keeping it half way up the plot rather than by the shed. This is near the compost heap and a thickly mulched area.

When I took the barrow, I spotted this fantastic, very long, earthworm. It makes me really happy that the number of healthy looking earthworms around the plot and in the soil has increased steadily with all the mulching I do - with cardboard, woodchips, organic matter and grass clippings.
