On The Edge Of The Yellow Warning Area

For snow and ice resulted in today’s Blipfoto taken at 8:20 a.m.

Further inland, there was more snow lying especially at higher levels. As the sun rose higher, so did the temperatures and the snow quickly melted away.

However, the warnings remained in place. In other areas there is significant amounts.

Today I gave a talk to the Guild of St. Leonard’s Church in St. Andrews on the construction of the Bell Rock Lighthouse. It is a very popular subject and I have several engagements in my diary for the rest of the year.

It is nearly two years since I attended St. Leonard’s owing to Covid, and it is over two years since I gave a live talk on any subject.

The talk went well, although the low sun did cause a few problems with the image on projection screen. I think blackout blinds are required, and no doubt this will be considered.

The guild meeting also includes prayers, readings and hymn singing with an interval for coffee and cake.

The extra is a composite of an original photograph taken by me  and a montage of original engravings created in 1824.

The complete composite is a file size of 120Mb! The extra is considerably smaller and is a work in progress.

As for Covid everyone was masked and being carefully about distancing and ventilation.

People are much wiser than certain politicians.
