Cookie monster

H is 7 and a big fan of the Junior Bake Off show on TV, so I guess it's no surprise that she wants to practice her baking skills. After lunch, we went to the supermarket together and made sure we had the ingredients for Nigel Slater's chocolate cookies.

We left it a bit late, and I had to help a wee bit with the hard stuff, but the end results taste delicious! A bit like chocolate brownies really. And perfect with the tangy blueberries that her Grandad brought round.

Yay for the weekend!

And I'll not mention the sad news again...
