The Potted Meat Stick

In the centre of Baildon (Nr. Bradford) you will find The Potted Meat Stick.
The Stick is actually a water fountain, though it no longer works, and the 'potted meat' refers to the colour of the column.. 
It was given by Baron Amphlett of Somerset as a memorial to his mother-in-law, Frances Ferrand. She was the younger daughter of the Holdens, a leading Baildon family.  Not many mother-in-laws have a monument in their honour....
