The old beech

The old beech on Warley Woods has been gracing the landscape for more than 200 years but is now near the end of its life - despite a rescue attempt last year where dozens of volunteers fed its root system with bags and bags of sugar. Where the sugar was poured there now blooms a ring of crocuses.
