DAFFODILS

Had a shopping trip to Gateshead this afternoon.  It was quite busy - it usually is on a Friday.  I looked in all the charity shops - 6 of them - and made a few purchases.  3 tops for me and a sweet little Minnie Mouse jacket for Astrid. Also did food shopping in Tesco.

The weather today has been warm-ish, dry, calm and very sunny.  A lovely day considering its February.

I bought these daffodils in the Co-op yesterday.  They were just buds when I got them but this morning all the flowers had opened.  Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.

The little vase is a new purchase. Its hand painted by Cathy Dawes - an artist who is based in Lancashire.  She specialises in painting pet portraits but also paints on vases, plant pots, boxes and drinking glasses.  She sells online via Facebook.  As each item is a one off if you see something on Facebook you like you need to be quick to tell her you want to buy it.  I've tried a couple of times previously without success so I was pleased to get this sweet little vase before it got snapped up by anyone else.
