Henry

Today we should have a teenager in the house. Another milestone in life missed. When you lose a baby you also lose their first smile, their first words, their first steps. You miss  their first day at school, the first time they win something, passing their exams, their first heartbreak. You miss the day they pass their driving test, the day they get their first job. You miss the day they might have got engaged and the day they might have got married. You miss the grandchildren you might have had. You miss their whole life. Our beautiful darling Henry, we had to fit your whole life into a few short hours, which were the most precious and most painful hours of my life, knowing that after all the waiting and longing for you to arrive, that you couldn't stay. My beautiful angel Henry, I carried you for every second of your life and I will love and miss you for every second of mine
