Word!

A new independent bookshop has opened in Ashtead, three miles away from us by bike. It's at no. 60 The Street, and is called Word on the Street which I think is a brilliant name.

I popped over there today on my bike and it was heaving! They've got a decent selection as far as I could see; I mostly looked at their sci fi section which was small but good, and I came away with Christopher Paolini's To Sleep in a Sea of Stars.

I do hope they make a success of it.
