Trees & Blue Sky

A lovely sunny start to the day, blue sky and wispy clouds - and not too much breeze, so I had a pleasant walk out to Headley Hall along this Lane. I really like this group of trees, seen looking back towards the village. The charred tree stump between the main trunks has been blipped before! These big trees survived the recent storms…sadly the one in extra did not fare so well :-(

The ground is drying out fairly quickly and so it wasn’t too bad underfoot.

I filled all the bird feeders this morning (seed, peanuts and suet balls) and checked the rat poison station, which had not been touched - grrrr. Typically, just a couple of hours later, the male rat was back feasting on the suet balls - inside the squirrel proof feeder. I have now disposed of them…
