She was a good mother # 1.

I'm embarking on the next phase of this assignment....having done a bunch of experiments with the ink transfer technique - and having varied results.....i'm going ahead with this part, which has to do with Mothering (me and my children) and my own mother.

We'll see where this goes, i'm excited to be exploring this new direction!

In the extra is one i did yesterday, using an ink transfer of me, my mother and my twin daughters when they were about 7 months old.   She returned to Scotland after this visit and died about 4 months later.

All these paintings are staying within the assignment guidelines of quickly created.....so it's a challenge for sure !
