The Haven, Oudenbosch

They tidied up here about 4 or 5 years ago (I could look it up, but the date's not really relevant) and the entire area is a lot neater as well as a lot more commercially viable (attractive). About 200 years ago, Oudenbosch was actually an important stop for commercial water traffic -- peat, wood, textiles, even cheap labour. And then the road and highway system was developed and extended, and that was the end of that. Now, it's used mainly by pleasure craft -- yachts, schooners, sailboats with foreign and local tourists alike.
