Octonauts!
Poor Steve - got home yesterday, all he wanted to do was catch up on the sleep he'd missed, today he was still falling asleep in his breakfast and while I was grabbing a quick shower and I suspect he fell asleep in the bath too and yet he STILL managed to come out with us and be very good company!
We took the boys out to Brighton to the Sealife Centre today to see the fishies and the Octonauts. Well, Captain Barnacles anyway. We spotted Peso from afar but by that point Bean had well and truly retreated into shyness. He only just managed to see Captain Barnacles for this photo because Steve was holding him tightly. And the Bear was fast asleep anyway.....!
It has been a good day. We decided to have a day of holiday. To believe and trust that God would provide (and not just financially), that he cares enough for us to do more than just survive. So we were going to eat at a restaurant, go to the Sealife Centre, probably spend money in the gift shop, and go by train, and not worry about money. Not go mad either, but not let worry destroy the day.
We took the train and made it to the station with a minute to spare. We found a pizza express with a very very helpful waiter. We spent AGES at the Sealife Centre, and got there just in time for the Meet and Greet by Barnacles, went through the underwater tunnel about a dozen times, answered all the questions dotted around the place and got a medal (which Bear has claimed as his own and has been wearing proudly since), trundled slowly back to the station (past an Asian supermarket where we found to our delight that they sold jars of Citron Tea!! So we bought two and it is very very lovely and I hope my cold takes note of all this vitamin C that I am now drinking and Goes Away) and home again. Chips for tea as it was pretty late by the time we got in. Late bedtime for the boys, and Steve was in bed snoring before Bear was finally asleep!!!
So I am on my own again this evening. But I have new brown wool that arrived this morning so I shall probably spend a happy hour or so starting to join up all the squares for Bear's blanket!
