Winged lion

Depictions of winged lions are found in a number of ancient cultures including Mesopotamian, Egyptian and Christian. M thinks this one looks like the Assyrian one in the British Museum. Maybe something for Antiques Roadshow, in spite of its injured up face.

Longer breaks in the weather today so I could go for a squelch in the park.
