A first for me …
Neither Martin or I had ever been on a demonstration before, but are feeling so incensed with what that megalomaniac dictator is doing to Ukraine that we went to the demonstration outside the Russian consulate in Edinburgh.
There was probably a couple of thousand people there, listening to a number of speakers, many from Ukraine, speaking passionately, but at the same time with such eloquence. The leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, Alex Cole Hamilton, gave a speech too, representing the Scottish Parliament. After the speeches outside the consulate, the demonstration made its way to the Scottish Parliament.
The speakers were saying that we need to use people power, to both, support the Ukrainian people but to also get the truth out to the Russian people who are being lied too at every opportunity (Twitter and Facebook are being blocked in Russia currently).
It’s good to see that similar demonstrations are taking place around Europe and the world:

This fascist dictator will not, and cannot win.
A sobering blip for today.
