In the garden

Images from the garden, in the sunshine, where I've been  trying  to gain some respite from news reports that grow steadily more menacing.

I know that the sensible thing to do is to focus on practical stuff, and today I did quite a lot of work in the garden. I also went for a lovely morning walk with Patricia (old friend) and her lovely lurcher Hector.

But concentrating on ordinary things is difficult, particularly now that we find ourselves in uncharted territory, with Putin's latest announcements about putting Russia's nuclear weapons on 'special alert'.
