Springwinter

Many talk about the four distinct seasons. But we have at least one more; in the late winter / early spring, or “vårvinter” (spring-winter).

Today has been a typical springwinter day. The sun rises higher and provides warmth. Roads are not just melting, but actually dry in the sunny spots. But still there is snow on the ground, which reflects the sun and makes it even more tangible. And the forests still take on the murky brown of winter.
