Roger Ballen

Today we took a walk to the Fotomuseum of The Hague. There is an exhibition by Roger Ballen, an American who has lived in Jo'Burg, South Africa for around 40 years. His works are quite dark, rather macabre...apparently his view of the reality of life. His exhibition was a series of photographs, mixed media, props, stage sets and short film. It was strangely quirky and interesting.
Phew, after all that I was glad to get back out into the sunshine!!
