Bridge over Troubled Water

Thomas Telford was commissioned in 1803 to design Tongland bridge which links Carlisle to Portpatrick near where the River Dee and the Tarff Water meet. Quite a Gothic construction!

Easy drive up north with sunny weather and a straight run so all good.

Nocturnal hides start tomorrow night which should be exciting with fingers crossed for the weather over the next days.
