Slowing down

No need to rush to any after school activity or club, no rushing home for appointments or chores. Just a quiet wander after school by the river. Anya is a bit low and worried about her poorly fish. She’s not had the best week at school, being partnered with a girl in her class that she finds difficult and “very bossy” in her words. She’s also missed one of her closest friends, who’s been off school unwell.
I’ve felt so sad about the situation in Ukraine, trying to avoid watching too much news whilst also feeling I should find out what’s happening. I went to bed too late watching question time and feel helpless and rather guilty just getting on with life and enjoying simple things.
