New shoots

As you can see from the sprouting branch here, the new leaves are starting to come.  The male chaffinch looks quite perky too - must be Spring even though it is still February.

Cathy and I braved lunch in Bath today - its been a very occasional thing for the last 2 years, but with case numbers coming back down to more manageable levels, and given the nature of the Omicron version of the covid virus it seemed a good time to give it a go.  Pie and chips in a pub - we really know how to push the boat out!
