Through the square window ...
We spent the morning in the local hospital’s outpatients department as a follow up to my husband’s A & E visit last Sunday. We were home by lunchtime feeling very relieved and grateful for the care we received, and for the lift there and back from our middle son.
Once home, after a much-needed and reviving cup of tea and then a light lunch, we both nearly fell asleep but decided a short, slow walk was in order to help perk ourselves up. This was not to be, however, for the excellent reason that our middle son brought our middle granddaughter to see us on the way back from picking her up from school. It really brightened our day because we haven’t been able to see her for a while owing to her having chicken pox and Covid. Grandpa was in his element with all the hugs and kisses he received, and being told "I love you, Grandpa" repeatedly!
The photo that I had intended to take, on the walk that didn’t happen, will have to wait for another day. Instead, you are being treated to the view from my chair in the outpatients department!
