1445: Sandro Botticelli is born
Quote Of The Day
"I wear myself out trying to render the orange trees so that they're not stiff but like those I saw by Botticelli in Florence. It's a dream that won't come true."
(Berthe Morisot)
The title of this year's Book Week is Curious Creatures. I've given my class a menu of learning tasks to choose from with the freedom to work either independently or in pairs. It's been wonderful watching them create their art. I was rather impressed by this dog moulded from plasticine. It's only about five centimetres long but remarkably detailed.
